Roho Agave is dedicated to crafting high-quality mezcal from the waste sisal cores of a sisal plantation in Kilifi. Seeking to document their process from inception to completion, Roho approached us to showcase their journey in a manner that accentuated the beauty of Kilifi, illustrating the seamless connection between the ocean and the farm, amidst such a vibrant process. With a significant amount of manual labor and heartfelt dedication invested in each bottle of mezcal, the team at Roho aimed to spotlight not only the natural elements but also the human touch integral to their production. Their product stands as a testament to sustainability, as it ingeniously upcycles materials that would otherwise be discarded. It was truly an honor and a pleasure to collaborate with Roho Agave on this project, and we eagerly anticipate the exquisite mezcal they will continue to create.
