In June 2023, we had the honor of joining Car 27's team to chronicle their remarkable journey in the Rhino Charge, set against the stunning backdrop of Samburu County near Maralal, Kenya. Our mission was to capture the essence of the team, their trusty car, and the breathtaking semi-arid landscapes that surrounded them. Despite encountering two tyre punctures, the resilient little Willys Jeep had to regrettably withdraw from the competition and was transported back to headquarters on the back of a lorry. It's worth noting that this particular Rhino Charge was considered one of the toughest to date, with only four competitors managing to complete the full circuit. Impressively, the Willys Jeep secured 9th spot out of 21 competitors in the modified category and 26th place out of 52 overall. This achievement is a testament to the indomitable spirit of a vehicle born in 1946. All we can say is - bring on 2024!
